The internet is flooding with the news of an Italian Surfer who died in Indonesia because of being Impaled by a Swordfish. Ms Manfrini, a 36-year-old Italian surfer was fatally injured when a swordfish. She was surfing on a popular surf break on the west coast of Sumatra situated in Indonesia. Swordfish speared her left chest and she had as deep a stab as 5cm. Giulia Manfrini is a 36-year-old Italian surf coach who has founded the surf travel agency AWAVE.
The report of the acting head of the Mentawai Islands’ Disaster Management Agency, Lahmudin Siregar stated that the swordfish “unexpectedly jumped towards Manfrini and pierced her chest”.
A Passionate Surf Coach
Formerly Miss Manfrini was known to the local surfing enthusiasts as a well-qualified and skilled professional. The Co-Founder of AWAVE Travel said that she “came across numerous people in the surf community” in Europe. And across the international level. ”Her acts of kindness and care and positive spirit impressed everyone lucky to know her and she will be greatly missed.” She will be best remembered for her positive-spirited attitude towards life.

Giulia needed her life so she could chase her dreams as a young woman, she had not started living yet.

They remembered the time when they spent the last evening together picking pomegranates and speaking of multitudes. Sadly, she is no longer around however her spirit’s message of workers and the general populace striving towards the realization of their dreams and the most enjoyment out of life still lives on.

Personally, I am affected by this news all too closely because the fact remains that the sea is an unpredictable environment and life is too short. Unfortunately, she did not get to stay here for as long as everyone would have hoped, however, her memories of caring women, and her passion and love for surfing will live on in all of them. The world can do without this beautiful soul but is spirit will always be chasing the waves.
